P337ROO - History

337 was delivered new to Harris Bus in June 1997, along with 2 others (335 & 336), and was originally painted Red with a Grey skirt. Before entering service she was re-painted into Harris Bus’s striking Lime Green & Blue livery with ‘Ilford Link branding. 337 worked all routes, both commercial and London contract, from its West Thurrock base as well as making frequent trips to Harris’s other depot South of the River Thames at Belvedere.


When Harris Bus collapsed at the end of 1999, London Transport set up its own bus company - East Thames - to operate the former Harris Bus London contract routes and thus 337 was painted Red once again. 337 continued to operate on both sides of the river until she left the East Thames fleet in 2003.


After gaining a ‘single door’ conversion whilst with a dealer she passed on to Courtney Coaches, Berkshire then her last operator, TM Travel of Halfway, Sheffield before sale to myself in March 2014.
